Growing Up

Maci is now almost 6 months old and is growing up fast! She loves baby food, sitting up, paper, her exersaucer, getting up in the middle of the night, her big sister, pulling the cats hair, and screaming for delight.

Madisyn's Third Birthday

Madisyn is now three! We took her to the Lehi parade and then to see Wall-E while Maci spent the day with Grandma. Her big present this year was a kitten which she named Dora, and getting to start gymnastics (or as she calls it - "match sticks"). She loves it! She also requested a Barbie cake for her birthday, pink of course. Madisyn is growing up and learning all sorts of new words and phrases. She asks Ryan and I if our parents can come over, but refuses to call them grandma and grandpa, she wonders when we can go to the village (?), and can't imagine why Santa Clause and Jesus have not come to our house to play with her.

Our Trip to Moab

We took a family trip to Moab this year in June. Ryan and Trent were supposed to kayak the 65 miles from Grand Junction to Moab and meet our families there, but (mostly) due to the high water they only got about 5 miles in. They did spend the night and had a great time doing the "guy thing". Madisyn, Maci and I spent a lot of time in the pool at our condo, though we did take the girls on one small hike and walked Main Street with them. Ryan did a lot of hiking and we all enjoyed the time away from home.

We had pictures taken of the girls on March 8th. It was basically an hour and a half pink and white photo shoot. Madisyn said she would only smile in pictures if she could wear pink, you can only find pink for Maci, their Easter dresses are pink, Madisyn's 'Princess dress' is pink....there is a whole lot of pink at our house! Madisyn loved it, and as a reward for being so good with Maci we let her take pictures in her "Princess dress".

Announcing Maci Nicole

Maci Nicole was born on January 11, 2008 at 4:16 PM. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 inches long. Madisyn is really excited to have a sister and gives her kisses all day, Maci is still trying to get used to how loud Madisyn can be and cries a lot when she gets too excited.

Christmas 2007

If Madisyn were asked what she wanted Santa to bring all she would say was "a big pink present!" So... Santa had to go shopping for pink wrapping paper (hard to find around Christmas). Christmas morning was filled with opening pink presents and playing with all the new toys and games. Ryan got Guitar Hero and beat 42 songs that same day, and I discovered I have no control over my pinkie finger but am a true Hero on easy.

Thanksgiving 2007

We had Thanksgiving at Cassie and Tim's house this year. This was by far one of the smallest Thanksgivings we've had. Dinner was great and Madisyn had a blast running around with her cousin Taryn. By the end of the night Madisyn crashed on the couch in the middle of eating a snack.

Halloween 2007

Madisyn was a lady bug this year for Halloween. She hated her costume and cried when I tried to put it on her, then liked it so much we had to wear the tutu everywhere we went. It took Madisyn about two houses of trick-or-treating to get the hang of it and we couldn't stop her from running from house to house to get more candy.
